Diablo 3 gem leveling chart9/22/2023 I made this table out of my own curiosity but thought you guys would be interested in it as well. Max time saved 10 mins per rift(T10) + 14.98 mins per grift), approximate gold cost for empowered rifts (those are rough numbers for the cost, see notes on the far right of the table for details), main stat each character would get augmenting the gems into their items, and the paragon lvl that would give an equivalent amount of main stat. For each gem level and number of gems pair I calculated: How many grifts it would take to lvl them NOT empowered, How many grifts to lvl them with Empowered rifts (assuming for both you are completing grifts that allow 100% chance to upgrade), Grifts saved by doing only empowered grifts, approximate time saved for doing empowered grifts (min time saved is 3 mins per rift(T10) + 3 mins per grift. I also started at 50 for gems since it is the minimum gem lvl for armor pieces and went up by 10s. I went in increments of 13 because there are 13 pieces of gear you could augment with legendary gems per class so if you wanted to augment gear on six classes you would need 78 gems (if you aren't sharing items between classes). So I put together how many rifts would be saved for leveling 13 gems to 50, 26 gems to 50, up through 78 gems to lvl 80. I put together the table because I was interested in seeing how many greater rifts would be saved if you used empowered rifts to level up your gems.
